Celebrating 60 Years of Literacy Leadership

Join the Reading Council of Greater Winnipeg to celebrate 60 years of RCGW literacy leadership. Network with like-minded, literacy-loving colleagues from near and far. Look through 60 years of artifacts and photo albums. Learn about the benefits of RCGW and ILA membership: What you can do for your council and what your council can do for you. Our celebration would be a great opportunity for you to introduce a colleague to the Reading Council of Greater Winnipeg and the International Literacy Association.

Light refreshments will be served during the evening's program. Draws and giveaways will take place throughout the evening: Stay the whole evening to win!

FAQs

Where can I park?

Parking is available in the Viscount Gort lot across the street from the hotel. Accessible parking is available by the hotel's main entrance doors. There may be spots available in the back parking lot, depending on construction.

Who should attend this event?

Anyone interested in literacy and teaching in the Greater Winnipeg region is welcome. You do not need to be a member of RCGW or ILA: In fact, we encourage individuals interested in joining RCGW to attend! In addition to past presidents, former board members, and award winners, we extend invitations to our colleagues from the Manitoba Reading Association and other reading councils from around the province.

Is there a formal program, or is this a come-and-go event?

Both. There will be a series of short speeches to begin the evening, and opportunities to network with new and old colleagues toward the end of the evening. Guests must be in attendance to win draws and giveaways.
